Our History

In the summer of 1936 at the height of the great depression, our founder created his own summer job peddling barber supplies in downtown Columbus. With strong determination, He created the Columbus Barber and Beauty Supply Company in 1937 when he was only 16. He soon began to overtake the competition and built the business rapidly allowing Columbus Barber and Beauty to establish a warehouse, sales department and a delivery service. The company continued to expand during the 1950’s through today.

Our business today is designed to maintain the flavor and tradition of the original old fashion general store where our headquarters is located while expanding nationwide with the use of our newly designed e-commerce internet shopping experience. Our company is now able to service several industries throughout the United States with the help of our experienced sales and leadership team.

We are proud to be located in the Short North Arts District.
